FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

ANY FEES?

No, Staysmart is completely free to use.
However, we provide a service that assists you with the paperwork for a fee, if you require such service.

DO YOU SUPPORT HDB TRANSACTIONS?

No. We currently do not support HDB transactions.

HDB has a resale portal (complete with step-by-step guides) for those who are interested in DIY-ing their HDB transactions.  For more information on HDB's resale portal, please click here.

*FACT*: According to the HDB, in 2017,  28% of HDB resale transactions are DIY transactions.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STAYSMART AND OTHER PROPERTY SITES?

Staysmart is dedicated to helping real estate participants (buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords) DIY their own property transactions if they wish to do so. We hope our resources and guides will provide them the tools and confidence needed.

Unlike most existing property portals, Staysmart allows owners and landlords to directly list their property, facilitating direct communication between owners/landlords and prospective buyers/tenants.

Staysmart will also not collect your information and use them to approach you to market or recommend any property.

WILL THERE BE DUPLICATED OR BOGUS LISTINGS?

No. We verify and check each listing prior to listing them on Staysmart.

Only one listing per property is allowed.

IS STAYSMART TRYING TO REPLACE AGENTS?

No. Agents always have and will continue to play an important role in the property market.

Staysmart's goal is to provide real estate participants (buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords) an alternative choice of DIY-ing their real estate transactions, if they wish to do so, by guiding the community through the required steps of a transaction (i.e due diligence, market studies, paperwork, etc.) and thereby saving them on agents fees, lowering their transaction cost.

For real estate participants who still not confident about DIY-ing their own property transaction or prefer to have personalised services (i.e. not DIY), agents are there to facilitate and assist in such transactions.
